Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex twice world title holder Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Mentality
"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather attacked ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British rival Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the novice continues to be one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.
"It will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Difference
As both boxers met for the customary face-off, with their physical disparity evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually happening.
