The assault resulted in the partial closure of the CTA tunnel and the T3 parking area.

An additional two individuals have been arrested in connection with a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals sustained injuries by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, according to police.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area on suspicion of robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals are still being held, the force said.

These detentions come after an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women had stolen from them their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was among the injured during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for medical care and have since been discharged.

Officers arrested a man in his thirties for suspected theft and assault close to the location. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Authorities were alerted at about 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding several people hurt by an irritating chemical thought to be pepper spray.

The attack - an event that police said was isolated and not being treated as terrorism - caused train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park briefly.
